I sitt första linjetal till kongressen som återinstallerad president i början av mars lät Donald Trump brisera en säkerhetspolitisk bomb: "We need Greenland for national security, and even international security […] And I think we are going to get it – one way or the other – we are going to get it.”
Lite senare i samma tal tillade presidenten: ”We will keep you safe, we will make you rich, and together we will take Greenland to heights like you have never thought possible before.”
